If you have not applied for volunteer clearance, but would like to volunteer this year, please come in and apply on one of the computers in the media center. It takes several weeks to be cleared to volunteer.DIRECTIONS:1. Click on "EDIT" in the top right corner of the page by the pencil2. Type your child's FIRST name only beside the time you would like to volunteer3. Click "Save" at the top right of this page.*If you sign up but are then unable to volunteer, please remove your name and send me an e-mail (eharmon@wcpss.net) with the time and date you can no longer come.*Please do not change any one else's information. Clerical Helpers: Tear pages out of math homework books and staple homework packets together for the next week. This can be done anytime between 8:45 and 3:15. Please type in what time you plan to come on the date you sign up for. Centers/Student Helpers: Work one-on-one with students in the classroom during literacy centers while I am teaching guided reading to small group. Must be comfortable working with individual or small groups of students in the classroom, able to keep students on task, and keep classroom volume down.
Read Aloud: Read a book out loud to the class for 15 minutes and ask pre-reading, during reading, and after reading comprehension questions.
